El Diente de leon, the Dandelion, thrives just as much in a wide meadow as it does in city sidewalk cracks. The parachute like seed can travel anywhere between eight to ninety-three miles, finding it's home in distant places, despite a wide range of difficult obstacles.
If a Dandelion can be an aid to its community, transforming the environment around it so more delicate plants can grow, supply nutrients to a wide array of species, and provide bees with nectar during the times when other plants cannot...in what ways can you share your energy with your communities in an effort to nourish the world?
Inspired by the courage and adaptability of our Afghanistani, Cameroon, Ethiopian, Haitian, Honduran, Myanmar, Nepali, Nicaraguan, Somalian, Sudan, Syrian, Venezuelan, Yemenis, and El Salvadorian communities.

Artist Statement/Bio: Hana Golden is an LA-based illustrator and sequential artist who seeks to create images as a means of exploring drawing as an alchemical process (and to keep her idle hands busy).
Through her florid botanical illustrations, Hana endeavors to capture the beauty of the LA basin chaparral and the stewards of this land, both old and new!
