Christine LêSantos "Solo el Pueblo, Salva al Pueblo." bandana
"An homage to the street vendors found all around Los Ángeles. In the very center of the bandana is an umbrella in reference to a typical vendor setup, and surrounding the umbrella are flowers and various fruits that can be seen on street corners. A recognizable selection of sandía, naranja, pepino, jícama, mango, and limón. The eyes and hands symbolize the workers and their offerings, with “solo el pueblo salva al pueblo” in the artists own handwritten type in reference to their handwritten signs."
22" x 22" premium cotton bandana. White fabric with 3 ink colors. All proceeds go to NDLON's organizing and programmatic work. Bandanas are hand-cut & hand-printed so each bandana has its own natural variation in shape and size.
